Canis Lupus

Here is a series of photos of the progress of my piece. I did forget however to establish a couple of the first stage, however I guess if you seen one "wire frame person" you've seen them all, eh? :P

Here we see the piece early on, the face is well defined here, the torso being built up. Still too early an idea on how to work the proportions and the details.

Now after getting a good rough idea for the torso, I've moved on to the legs. Here you can see a pretty good idea for the armor already.

Now here, I've finished the armor for the legs and have returned to the torso. This is a glimpse, front and back (I'm sure you can tell which is which) of the torso itself, the arms are clearly still undeveloped. Here I even removed the right arm at the elbow so I can get to the torso, and I worked the armor for the arm while it was off. I can also get a better idea for the pose for the arm.

This is the finished sculpt. The arm was retooled slightly (it fell apart a bit during removal anyway) and a gun worked in there. You may notice the slight "cartoonish" look of the gun. I felt this exaggerated look for the entire piece, so the gun being so seemed to work for me.

Finished sculpt, with primer and first layer of base paint. I figured a nice, dark, gloss green should suffice. Really helps to show the sculpt's detail better.

Now a bunch of pics of the finished piece at different angles. Not too sure on how these turned out overall, the flash on the camera seems too bright and I can't find some way to simply adjust it. But, there you have it.
Our soldier with his "back to the wall", seemingly on his last leg, but still fighting to the bitter end.
I had more in mind for this, I started on a Grunt that was being shot, lovely hole bursting into the back of his head. However with the time constraints I had to scrap the idea, but I have a nice unfinished Grunt laying around now.
Besides, this adds a nice mysterious feel of the enemy, there could be a couple, there could be dozens. However, focused on our "hero" here, we feel uncertainty and witness only his dire conditions.
