Digital Painting Newb W.I.P

Hi, this is my second attempt at digital painting; or finished colored pieces for that matter. Comments appreciated, here is my first finished color piece

Any advice and or tips with photoshop painting would be great... eg painting clouds and what not; Would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

I love the style, it appeals to me.

My only critique involves the sword and how it is attached to his body. It appears that there is no strap except a loose peice of cloth across his chest. And even if that is the case, that would mean the strap would have to go overtop of the cloak, the way the cloak is portrayed.

but i'm not sure. perhaps i'm mistaking the naked blade when it's supposed to be another piece of cloth?

ANyway, after all that... I really like it :) especially his hands, even though his right hand doesn't look too comfortable :)

Oh my...:shocked: don't I feel stupid.. you're right I messed up with the sword and the strap. Good point about it being a piece of cloth...Thanks for the crit; hmm anybody else?

on his left hand, the middle finger looks strange. I think its long.

the proportions of this guy's nose also seem kinda weird. maybe it just looks too "skinny".
