-- THIS BID IS NOW CLOSED, WORK IS IN PROGRESS. WE MAY STILL CONTACT SOME OF YOU REGARDING ADDITIONAL WORK FOR THIS PROJECT --

** closed **

2D Artist(s) needed for 50-100 medium web images for an interactive game. Images must be in full color, and are described below.

Because this is a large job with varied requirements and roughly a 2-month deadline, we believe it would be best to portion this out to several artists for each specialty. The total budget is between $3500-$7500 USD. When you bid, specify how many pieces you could do, of which type, and where we might see a portfolio of your work. The is a freelance job, you work from home, we retain rights to all new work...however, if you have existing work in this gothic-fantasy area (or even a library of such work) which you own the rights to, we would be open to purchasing limited licenses to use such work of yours at a reduced price.

This is a gothic-fantasy interactive game for the web. You can see examples of what we would like for each category, for reference only, here : http://www.babyloninteractive.com/art_reference.html

We will require 5-10 "splash page" images...full detail, backgrounds and characters. These could be up to 800x600 or even 1024x768.

We will require 20-30 character images...high detail, basic backgrounds with character portraits, at up to 640x480

We will require 30-40 non-player-character images...medium detail, basic backgrounds with portraits, at up to 640x480

We will require 20-40 "items" or miscellaneous images...medium-low detail, no backgrounds, up to 320x200.

Please let us know if you require additional details.

There is no contact information in the post, so the best way to get in touch with dramatic.development is via private message.

Yes, please private-message me your response and portfolio.

As for price-per-image, I'd let you specify in your bid to me...you see our total budget, and that has to be carved up in each of those categories. Obviously, we expect the larger, more detailed images to cost more, the middle two tiers of images to cost substantially less, and the bottom tier, the items/misc, to cost much less (but also be very fast to produce).

Thanks for all the current private-messages...I will be reviewing them all over the next several days, and I'll get back to you all with a response one way or the other.

Thanks

FYI...I have now reviewed all of the current private-message replies, and I've selected a list of about 10-15 artists that we'll start talking with, and we'll likely end up with 4-6 total artists to do the job.

I'll be replying to everyone shortly to begin negotiations.

In the meantime, certainly, anyone else is still welcome to apply, because you never know how fast this will proceed, or if someone doesn't work out.

Thanks

I apologize for the delay, I have been up in Seattle working with the programmer on the game development (which is progressing very nicely).

I will review anyone's submission that I have not already looked at, and I will be in contact shortly with those of you that I already think would be a good fit.

Thanks
