Spectrum 10 call for entries!

Gather your best! Spend a little money! Maybe get in the book that everyone looks at! Including art directors!

All joking aside (what little there was) go through your work and edit. Just send in what your are proud of. If you inundate them with pieces that re just so so, you will only be wasting your money. Every artist needs to know how to edit, that way no one else takes on that job!

This first attachment is the poster by Gregory Manches. He rocks!

The following will be largish attachments of the directions etc. There should be 5 pages of these. That does not include the poster.

Good luck. The deadline is January 20 2003.

Thanks Foster, Finally someone told us the way!

I made the post sticky so everyone had the chance to see it before the deadline.

Thanks for the scans, Jon.

I'm kinda new here and I really appreciate it, but would it be a problem if I ask you to attach a little bit bigger/clearer image of page 5? It obviously contains a fine print and I just can't read what it says. Since both A and form B must accompany the entries (these forms are obviously very important thing), maybe you could cut them apart and attach them separately - it'll reduce the size and the loading time. What's the size of the original entry forms, anyway (in case someone wants to print them and tape them to the entries' back)?

Thanks again. Hope I'm not bothering you too much by asking this.

Thanks for posting this info Jon,

I've been looking for this info. for some time independently and couldn't find anything on the web.
Now I'll see if I can pull together something or redo something by the deadline... :)

Hatcha,

When i tried to post larger files they would not go, as there is a limit to file size on conceptart.

Do any of you more fluent computer guys now of a better way to post this? please let me know.

I ended up jpeging this rather hard and still had to keep the resolution down!?

Don?t worry about the fine print, something about first-born and title on your car etc,

Jon,

Try just cropping and sending in the tiny little print as a big file. They could do a cut and paste with the other bits you've already sent.

Oh yeah and try saving it as a bitmap image, (Just black and white data) instead of the greyscale .jpg

That or you could just type out what it says... Or I could when I get home. Whatever.

(If you do type it out don't forget to include the part about the defanged goose and three buckets of macaroni on form G-18!)

Jon -
like Imphead said, try a b/w (*.gif works well) file for the forms and text; that should work better. Or just send the higher-res jpgs to me and I'd be happy to gif 'em and repost.
