Workflow - What's yours?

Given that everyone has their own way of approaching their artwork, let's all share our own unique process of tackling a work of art in SketchUp.
Do you start from the ground and work your way up? Do you use plugins, imported textures, etc?

Thats' seems intresting. I just started with sketch up and still I don't know if it's better foloow with Blender or using sketchup... but it'd be really usefull to know how other artist work with this software. :)
