View Full Version : Painter 8 - OS compatibility issues

A lot of sites have been having sales on Painter 8 recently, so I've been looking to finally buy a copy. But here's the problem...

I'm still using Windows 98 because it's always run wonderfully for me. And frankly, given Window's track record, since I found something that actually works I'm reluctant to ruin things by upgrading.

The specs on Painter 8 say it needs to be run with Win 2000 and up. Is this really true? Has anyone tried to use it with Win 98? I'm really hoping to avoid the hassle of "upgrading" to a more annoying operating system.

Thanks.

Some people are running Painter 8 under Windows 98 SE, but Corel do not officially support P8 on that OS.
