Anatomy Studies Day 1: The Skeleton

Started reading Atlas of the Human Anatomy for the Artist by Stephen Rogers Peck. If anyone has any other recommendations for anatomy reference please let me know, I love having a large collection of resources.

I agree on the studies thing, I lack a lot of the foundation knowledge of drawing and illustration because I went to school for Graphic Design and Advertising. I took the Intro to Drawing, a more concept art oriented class, when I was able to fit in a generic art elective. Now that I graduated I'm going to try to gather as much as I can from resources like the CA.org community and DVDS/books.

That's quite a lot of material!
You're seem pretty secure with pencils, but I beg you not to use lined paper, and scan instead of photographing them - because your drawings are worth it.

I really like your colored work (and your digital work in general), the anatomy studies also look very decent. I suggest some movement studies next so your characters look more dynamic.

Yeah, I had so much to upload though I thought I would just snap through them with the camera. As I post up more new stuff, like my studies, I will use a scanner.

I have no excuse for the lined paper - its basically me sitting in Math or English class trying to take notes and I end up doodling haha.

I agree with your suggestion about adding more movement studies, a lot of my stuff is just stagnant and I need work in that department. Thanks a lot for your comments and for visiting my thread!
