Oh.. you are one of those red nose people! I always liked that style.

you have a very peculiar line, it balances between the realistic and the weird.
If it is for a portfolio you should add some more full body pictures with hands and feet (I know...)

good luck!

thanks :]

Mm i dont think I'll be using any of these for a portfolio when applying to an art school, I heard they tend to look for things drawn from life and I did these without references

and definatly on the needing of hands and feet, I avoid them like the plague

If you can't do life, go to the reference section here on CA. there are lots of good links (domai..) and draw from photos. it is the next best thing.

also take a look at Bridgman, Hogarth, and loomis. all 3 are very good teachers with each its strenghs and weakneses.

i already have the loomis and hogarth books actually, collecting dust somewhere in my closet, i want to get my hands on the bridgeman life drawing ones, but i've yet to come by them, i draw lots from photos, but thats way easier than drawing from life for some reason, i do subway sketches sometimes, those are fun :)

Definitely get Bridgman, you can get it for $12.57 on amazon which is a great deal, since it's 350 pages of concentrated figure drawing goodness. Buy it! Now! Go go go! It's the bible of figure drawing!

Ron Lemen:
Bridgeman[...] is a bible that no artist should be without.

Me:
Looks real good, and it tastes like chicken!

you have a very loose unconstrained style on paper, that must influence your digital art.. I was curious what program you use for painting, painter? or photoshop? and what brushes? all your painting have so much feeling...
