Wow, just stunning stuff. Is it sculpey? Did you use an airbrush to colour it?
Just so impressive, looking at this makes me want to try making something similar.

I love the painting, perfection of colour. The expression, the eyes I dont even know what they are, or how it was done. This blows me away. I could swear the eyes have real depths..

I miss your old site. You had such a delicate collection of creatures to explore. And where some had a raw and ready presence, others were as polished and haunting as crystal hearts.
Certainly the eyes are immediately arresting, but the details you've carved into the side of the face - a pair of side-long gills or soft scarring - are my favorite. I love the color palette you've chosen for them as well.
This feels like the first step off a plateau. And given you recent work, it should be a bright climb to the next stage.

Thanks. Thats kinda one of my goals. Id like to get my sculpture to look like a digital painting with loose brushstrokes and that luminosity.

The clay is Premo brand but, its the same company that makes Sculpy. The differnce is it doesnt darken and get flawed as easily as sculpy does.\
No I didnt use an airbrush since I like some brushstrokes for texture. Just very sheer layers of acrylics and mica powders for irridecence.
Im sure if you did it would be incredible!

My goodness your such a poet! My old site was plauged by trojans, but you can still see alot of my old er works at deviantart. Not all of em but quite a few.
Most of my peices are growing organic ornate scarification of some sort. I dont pretend to understand my own compultion to do it,but I like it.:) In her case it is gills like. I was simply thinking of layered crushed butterfly wings as I added them. I thought of the butterflies flying out of deep recesess in her temples and cheekbones.
Thank you so much for that blessing for my future peices it means alot to me!
