i have done for a friend a design to be laser engraved onto his paintball marker. the design has been finished, however he is asking to have the design "in vector". i have done the design in photoshop elements, but i dont know much about vector images. could i change the file type? or will i have to re draw the design on another program? can anybody offer some advice on what i can do, thanks!
(i hope this is in the right section)
this is the design as i have sent it to him (jpeg)

Basically if you didn't do it all with the pen tool it isn't in 'vector' and your SOL.

There are programs the will raster to vector but I can't comment on how well they work, but that's about your only option besides tracing it over yourself.

i have used the "Live trace" method in adobe Illustrator to convert raster to vector with some really great results. especially with what appears to be just the straight up black and white art you have there (the design). give it a shot.
