Hi,

going on holiday next week, i thought about getting a small tablet to sketch a lil on my netbook. im going to test if the netbook is sufficent for that in the evening with my intous3 a5.

The a5 is too big though for having it with me all the time, so its gonna be an a6. now the question is what are the experiences here with a bamboo... is the lesser pressure sensitivity of 512 going to hurt alot? the price is tempting, but if its got crappy performance, every cent is wasted and an intuos would have been the better decission.

thank you in advance for your tips and comments.

Depends on how much you're going to sketch and how. If you're accustomed to Painter for example and take advantage of bearing and tilt a lot then yeah you're gonna notice a difference. Same with pressure sensitivity.

But if you're just sketching and not worrying about using the same methods (just need to get a sketch done) the smaller tablets are just fine like a graphire or bamboo.

Most tablet pcs are about "wacom Graphire" quality.

You could also if you have a DS/DSI/DS Lite ITouch or IPhone put in Colors! - the painting app.
