hey iv posted a couple of times before but i thought id start a sketchbook instead of carrying on my thread in the critique center.

im an illustration student in the UK, studying at norwich.

so anyway iv recently been moving away from pencils and working more and more with a brush, and i seem to be enjoying working much more now. id love to know what people think of the results. im gonna try to keep this regular lol.

Good to see you here, hope you'll continue in adding your artwork. Now to your pictures. The first one is a bit flat I think. Try to work more with line thickness and contrast of dark and light areas. It should bring more depth to your paintings. The second one looks good :), like it. And for the last one, try to look up a head construction in an art book. It will help you to find out how to draw human head from bottom wiev. The eyes, mouth and chin is ok, but the nose and whole shape of the head is a bit off. Hope this helps, that's about all I can think of right now. So wish you a lot of energy for your artwork :yayca:.

hey thanks for the comments.
yeah i figured the head anatomy was a bit off, i was working from reference but i was trying to work fast and nail the lines first time with the brush, without an underdrawing to try and work some spontanaeity into the lines. ill work on the head constructions some more.
