Hi, folks!

I've been greatly inspired recently by the 3d/Sculpture forum here. Such awesome stuff!

These are my first sculpts in polymer clay. I thought it would be interesting to sculpt people faces and attach them to wind-up toys. I'll probably make some more. Any comments or critiques are appreciated.:)

ohgawd I love Bogoblin 2! check out that speed that little bugger has! awesome! I love the dead serious expression versus the toy hopping, gives them a real surreal touch. Not to mention that they are very well crafted :) where did you get the machinery parts? did you slaughter some old toys? :)

Thanks, fellers.
Akeyla, I used the mechanism from a hopping frog for #2 and a pecking chick for #1. :D

Seriously freaked out, but in a curious 'car crash' way.
Don't want to look, but you do.
Don't know why you buy one, but you do anyway because of that curiosity.

Detail is great especially for first time and I think you have just got yourself a very successful niche market product. Well done! :-)

Thanks again, folks!
Tibbenstein: #2 was referenced from Bill Nighy, and #1 was loosely referenced from Michael Keaton.

Here's a new sculpture. I intended it as a maquette for a painting but got a little carried away. It's 6" tall.

Really really good. Love the fur on it and you have managed to make all the different pieces blend into one believable character, congratulations.

Really Really like this new sculpt

The design is great, and a very nice paint job too. I really do like the design of his face it makes me think of something that could have been in pans labrynth or something similar.

The hair just tops this off and it even more realistic.

great stuff:)

This one was cast in this awesome stuff called Durham's Water Putty. It sets up like plaster but is porcelain hard. Original was sculpted in super sculpey.
