For christmas I went to barnes and noble and picked out two drawing books... I looked for the ones that were of the most interest to me... Well me being a total rookie artist I didn't research the subject a whole lot.

I was just wondering if any of you had experience with these books and had any comments or suggestions while using them.

Bridgeman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life
by George B. Bridgeman

and

Pencil Drawing Techniques
edited by David Lewis (many artists's works are used as examples)

So, any feeback on your experiences with them or whatnot would be nice...

Thanks

Bridgman's book is good. I'd buy it just for the drawings. He gets so much expressive quality into his figures.

Bridgemen is good. Don't know the other.

I think bridgemen might be a bit tough for a beginner.

I'd recommend something by Andrew Loomis for a beginner.
