As I said in your thread about values, limit the number of light sources. Your pictures so far are looking a classic trying to run before you can walk.
Like your first post, you've got 4 lights on the girl. (One in the back. One from the amulet. One blue light from behind Another hitting the girls face). This would have really bounced with only two light sources, removing the one thats hitting the girls face and the blue light. Less really can be more.
When it comes to lighting, you have to think of it like its 3D. Imagine your light source like a flashlight. The light will be by going forwards, but everything behind the light will be in shadow. And anything thats in the lights way, will be light only from the way thats facing the light.
Youve got a lot of good ideas and nice concepts, getting the lighting right is key. It will give you the emphasis you're looking for in your work. Some ways to learn about shading, shading cubes, circles and people! Giovanni Civardi covers a little bit about lighting in his books aswell.

Nice colours m8 , i see you like to "light things up" :D thats nice but i suggest working on the anatomy , for the humans and non-humans . Other than that big thumbs up and keep them comming , repetition will do the magic :P
