hey all. long story short: i was in the habit of doing daily practice sketches while i work on certain projects i had going, but i have a job that takes up a great deal of my time & energy (which sucks.... alot....). so when i got the free time, i spent more time on the sketches than said projects. anyhow i wrapped up a full month of daily sketches with this one...

sorry if it doesn't show, tripod accounts suck lol. (i have it on deviantart.com @ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/4532163/ also)
i'd love to hear thoughts on it. i just wish i had more time to do more like it. (and that i knew a better way to do sparks in photoshop lol) currently i'm plotting doing this on a nice big bristol board! thanks for taking the time to give it a look

The lineart is real good, i'd just recommend you do a paintover and kill that scribbly look you got on the lines.

and, ehh, those sparks dont quite work for me. perhaps you sohuld hold of the welding?

With some clean lines and some detailing of the robot arm youll have a real cool pic!

thanks theo
when i transfer it onto the bristol board, i'm looking to clean up the lines of course, & the perspective on the top part of the arm is a little off here, i'll fix that too. as for the sparks, i wanted to keep them in because without them, she'd just be a chick with a robotic arm floating over her. that sort of determines she's artificial. but i don't know how to do them properly in photoshop. oh well if & when i redo it, i'll probably just draw them in & keep the outline light. thanks for the comments
also forgot to mention the pose is based on a monica belucci picture.

i like it, the sparks are a bit wrong though. Sparks are usually thin and pretty sharp looking, not round sausages, maybe the smudge tool could fix this problem.

thanks, but the smudge tool is how i got into the problem in the first place lol i was trying to make them glow, so i blurred & smudged & that's what made them so thick. but yeah skinnier streaks. thanks for the help
