Just transferred into VCU (and out of RISD), so this is my first semester here (though I'm a junior).
- Illustration: Drawing & Painting - Sterling Hundley - Awesome! Sterling Hundley seems reeeeeally awesome, and so knowledgeable. Hoping to learn a ton here.
- Concept Drawing - Tin Salamunic - No, it's not concept art. ;) Basically about how to illustrate things, and come up with ideas really, really fast.
- Typography - Tyler Darden (almost like Fight Club) - Sophomore level course, but still should be good. Never tried drawing my own letter-forms.
- Photography - Jeff Saxman - Totally new experience for me. Just bought myself my first camera and am anxious to give photography a try.
- History of Visual Communications - Jorge Benitez - Just another art history class, with more of a world history bent to it.
It's keepin' me busy already. :)

And then AIM (http://www.tamaim.com/main/about.php), which is a special program within my school. The classes for AIM are:

All of the above = the best schedule I've ever had in my life!
Last year I fought (with my therapist, and my dad who is also a therapist... I needed a mental breather.) to NOT HAVE TO TAKE MATH THIS YEAR! It's amazing!

Spanish 7 (meh, but mandatory)
You're required to take Spanish...? Unless you're going to some prep school or something I'm not sure I agree with that. I mean, I'm taking Spanish because I want to learn it (and am enjoying it) but I don't think they should force it on you in high school. Crazy California kids. :)

When I was in high school, you had to take two years of any foreign language.
It's not that unusual.

Huh. We weren't required to, but I took three years of German anyway. So I guess, despite the (pitifully) low-quality Utah educational system, I'm at least almost as smart as you guys, right? :)

Yeah my school doesn't require any foreign language studies for graduation but most colleges require at least two years. State colleges apparently require three though so I'm continuing it. This is actually my fifth year of Spanish, but the colleges don't count middle-school work.
