I'm taking a year off of school to get my portfolio in gear and transfer into a really good art school for graphic design. I've been flip-flopping around with art school choices. I decided to stay at my state school for a year and just do my foundations in hopes that I would be good enough to transfer into a school and skip a few classes. I think I'm applying to RISD, Pratt and (maybe) FIT. I wanna be in a good design school and in a good area for connections. Anyway, here are a few things I've put together just for starters. I'm mostly looking for advice on things I need to focus on. I have the overall concepts but I think I have issues with execution sometimes.
Luckily, MIAD offers figure drawing sessions for $6/session each Tuesday for the semester and Milwaukee Rec has a few drawing classes for ~$28 so I'm going to attend those as well (though I doubt they'll be super high quality). I'm also planning on attending the portfolio days at MIAD and SAIC in October, so I've got a lot planned to better myself but agh... am I hopeless? Will I be able to hone in on my skills well enough to have a RISD or Pratt quality portfolio?

Thanks for any critiques you can offer, and I hope you enjoy watching my progress as much as I will be stressed out making it :) The price we pay for loving art I guess...
