what brand for graphite?

hi all, well ive come to the point where i need to get a set of pencils with different levels of hard/softness. any suggestions on a good brand? thanks.

As long as you just don't grab a bunch of butcher's or carpenter's pencils all brands are fine. Derwent, Faber Castell, Koh-i-noor - it just doesn't matter.

my fav is staedler mars lumograph, though I don't know if you can get them in america or wherever.. they're so smoooth :p
