I go to the Art Institute of Colorado. We have this required class called Architectural Engineering. It basically teaches the program AutoCad. Im not exactlly sure what else in entails but it seems like a pretty unessesary class. Does anyone know if AutoCad is used heavily in the industry? I heard that its used in medical animation.
I was thinking maybe this class could be a special topic or elective class instead of a required. I would rather spend my money on a class that will help me build my skills in a more efficent way such as another 2d or 3d class.
Tell me what you think....Thanks =)

What's your major?

AutoCAD doesn't really have much to do with drawing or painting. It might have some uses in Industrial Design, though.
