I think you need to do a couple of things to improve your drawings:
1) I'd recommend going to the Middle Class Book List (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3358&highlight=book+list) , and check out some anatomy books there. A lot of people prefer George Bridgman's book(s). Go check your library for some of these books. They may have a few and they're rarely checked out so you can renew it as much as you want.
2) I think its better to try life drawing, but if you can't find anyone willing to sit still and draw. You can
a) Do quick gesture drawings of random people that don't know your drawing them.
b) Get photo's for reference.
c) Do still lifes. Anyone can draw random objects laying around house.
My crits on the drawings are: They look sloppy. I don't think you do many structure lines before you start to draw. Its always good to make structure drawings before adding in details (like eyes, nose, ears etc). Because if you don't get the basic contour/shape of the face right, you drawing won't be too successfull even if the details are good.
My favorite drawing would have to be guy with his back toward us. The pose is nice and simple, and shows a lot of character. I like the highlights in his hair also.
