question i need help

im trying to start using corel painter but im having diffcult time choosingwhich brush type to use and blend when trying to draw the modern cartoon types if someone could give me some insight i would appreciate it

Open a new document.

Chose a brush category.
Make strokes on the paper.
See what these strokes do.

Read the manual about brush methods like "Cover" "Buildup" Learn the interface a bit.

There is no "cartoon brush"

I think sitting down and playing with the features helps a bit to make your own personal decision.

Don't forget to adjust the brush tracking too.

The reason why this is not a straightforward answer is that people have used brushes outside of their "Deemed" use. It was a matter of preference and personal style.
