I wanted to talk about my experience with SketchUp by Google. I have downloaded the latest version of the Software Sunday and began teaching myself how to use the software.

Coming from a traditional 2D background I find it very difficult to use any 3D applications, I have used Lightwave 7 and 8 for various projects. But found that I can never be proficient at it any more than creating models and applying texture maps to the models. The interfaces are complex and although I understand them I found that after an 8 to 12 Hour shift, I am bored and drained of any creativity.

With SketchUp the Interface is easy on the eyes the tools are flexible enough to create objects on the fly. I am sure that the software has many great uses, and for me I have found that it allows me to quickly map out what I want to create. With an object library I have built objects that I can reuses which makes construction very easy.

I will post more as I go along, Thank you for viewing.
