I ride a bike to class and I need like a backpack type carrying case for my 20" × 26" drawing board. I tried googling for some but couldn't come up with one, anybody know of any? Something I can slip onto my back like a normal backpack while riding my bike.

what about the Chrome Bags (http://www.chromebagsstore.com/)? They are pretty expensive tho, but lifetime guaranteed. :P You can try to look for them on ebay, a second hand of these still expensive but a bit less

Good luck ;)

Those bags look good but I don't think they make a size large enough for my drawing board :(. Thanks though.

I have something similar, but dunno how well it would work while riding a bike...large flat surfaces tend to act like sails on windy days. XD

mmm it should fit in this one (http://www.chromebagsstore.com/wabl.html), I guess they expand at least a bit (Dimensions: 24" x 25" 6" flat volume)

You're creative, I'd try and make something.

I remember someone in a class that did that. It was a portfolio bag/case thing with a single strap and she slung it over to one side like a messenger bag. She said she just got it at the art store. Have you tried asking at your local art store if they have anything similar?

Actually I've been thinking about trying a surfboard rack (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.greenspeed.us/graphics/accessories/bike_surf_rack_2a.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.greenspeed.us/electric_bike_surf_rack.htm&usg=__AisG90v73HnvPfFvXHzFqH1ZS74=&h=200&w=200&sz=18&hl=en&start=3&um=1&tbnid=pZh46_deYwlIJM:&tbnh=104&tbnw=104&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbike%2Bsurfrack%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dgm% 26sourceid%3Dgmail%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1) for a bike and seeing if it can hold a drawing board & stuff. You could probably make one with some PVC pipe or something.

Lots of great suggestions in here! I had an idea of retrofitting a back rack with lots of wires to hold it in place. I don't know, but keep those bags coming, the Chrome bags are definitely way to expensive for me. The art bag looks nice for a reasonable price.

You could check out skateboard backpacks. Some of them have pretty big, adjustable straps.
