Hey, it's beens been about 3 days since I've posted here which is pretty bad, just been taking it easy for abit.
The aim of this was to be super realistic while training my anatomy skill. When I started to add highlights it reminded me of a style similair toTeamFortress 2 so I went with that.
Yes, the neck is way to thin. Realised way after I was finished.

Inspired by Daarken!
Not sure if I even like it. I like the style, lot less bold colours so it seems more mature which is what I'd like to have more of in my art. I know, I need hand practice. ;P

This is definately a good start to your sketchbook. I can't wait to see more, so I certainly hope you keep posting.
The only suggestion I might make, is to spend a bit less time with colouring and maybe work a bit more on anatomy studies... maybe some Loomis or others like him would help you out.
Otherwise, great stuff, and your colouring and shading is pretty solid. Keep posting! :)

Thanks alot!
That's just what I needed actually. I was beginning to doudt my skills, it's nice to get a post like that. =]
I will do more anatomy tests, I agree. I do spend to much time colouring and refining. That will be my next test after this new painting I'm working on. Some poses, ect.
Thanks again.

Your shading and coloring skills are looking really great! what might be the problem for you is that you're (as my illos teacher would say) "trying to ice a cake that isn't there. " Which basically means that rendering is the icing and your initial sketch/drawing is the cake. You're starting to render when you don't quite have your sketch finished yet. Like in post #17, you're stuck because you didn't have your sketch planned out before you started coloring. So basically what I've been trying to say in this long explanation is that you should try to sketch out your entire picture THEN color it.
Also if you want more feedback you need to comment on other people's work as well as posting regularly. And when you comment on other posts be sure to reply with something with a bit more substance than "ur art is cool."
I hope my rambling has been somewhat helpful :)

I mainly like your black and white sketches and pencil drawings, those are very solid.
The gray sketch of the alien with large hands and small head also very nice.
The portrait of the Distrubed singer. It's not bad, but try adding more different tones to the painting. Yellowish colors in the for head, more red in the nose and cheeks, and grey on the bottom.
But cool work :)
And disturbed rocks too! :p
