I think he'll be ok.

Not if that was a poisoned dart.
Nice sketch, I like the shading a lot. The only suggestions I have are that one of his boots looks square toed and the other looks rounded, and also I would try and make his hair look more realistic, since it looks like a fake toupee at this point. Really nice facial expression though.

this is good pencilwork. flawless IMO except for the overlyshaded right hand.

I like it, dramatic pose, did you use any reference for it? I think the hair is ok, I like that sketch look. You should have worked a little more on the right hand as Danieland said.

I really appreciate your comments guys. It always helps to have an unbiased eye. You guys are right about that hand - both his index finger and thumb should not be completely shaded as I have them. It does stand out rather awkwardly
I didn't use any reference which made it all the more challenging to get those shadows to work. I never know what hair styles to make up on the spot so it does look kind of slapped on.
Thanks again for having a look.

good job on the wrinkles. and the rest is good. except the hand. its shaped right but shaded wrong. Otherwise good, esp. the facial expression.

I guess the hand is the most bothersome _ I guess I was fortunate. Here's an update that I think works better...
