hi guys! am learning digital painting and practicing, i bought many dvd gnomon or here in CA.org (jason chan! :) ) and found many tutorials on the web but i have big big problems with skin tones and HOW to choose the good colors? you know every time i am painting freaky pink or white (pale) or bad brown skins! and when i see many of your works here, smashing paintings and when i check values i see that the colors are not at all the "real skin tones" i mean the flesh color that every body know! i learnt that skin and flesh are made by multiple colors but how to choose and what to choose? blue grey green yellow red? can someone help me find a way?
thx for reading and helping! have good day

sorry if am in wrong section but if someone have a good tutorialmaybe he can post it here! many thx

Well, there's this... (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4929)

Also, have you tried working from reference? Especially helpful if it's digital, because then you can sample if you can't get the color right. Not something you should do all the time, but I think it's helpful when learning.
