.... i dont understand what u want out of this ......all u did was take 2 pics and givem a backround and lighting not to dishearten u but i dont see any talent here:(

I think i should spend more time doing my own art and especially more time doing figure drawing and painting from life.

cycrincy, i do believe that the pictures in the frames, were drawn, and painted, not just photographs.

he has alot of talent to paint such lifelike pictures if that is what he did.

keep up the good work

Dede,

Don't try to take a photo just to push some pixels around on it, and throwing on a filter ..and claim it to be a painting. I don't care what you say, it is clear you did not paint these portraits. In fact, all you did was actually make a good photo look worse.

I would call it photoshop manipulation, or compositing. Just don't call this painting.

I am at a loss as to what the hell kind of satisfaction a person could get by doing a crude photo manip and then showing it off on the internet trying to get compliments for artistic skills they aparently do not possess...???

Anyone wanna help me out there?

can ones life be so dull and mundane that unearned compliments from some dopey schmuck on the internet would constitute a pick me up, something to feel good about?

I had a look at your website dede, and i can't decide whether these are just some edited photos or if these were painted from scratch, although, like the others, i suspect the first. If that is the case, you might consider looking for another forum, since most of those who join here are looking for traditional painting methods and are not too interested in graphics design.
And Flint, i respect your kind of talent but you make it sound really harsh. Some people just want to have fun. I know lot's of people who are into just that kind of 'design'. Not that i was one of them.

Sure! here's your answer... To an amateur every little filter under the sun is "COOL". The problem is, that this person has no clue of the sophisticated nature of the people that frequent "Concept art.org" The people here are people of talent. Sure some are at an early skill level but they still understand the difference from a piece of art and some "Obviously" poorly doctored photograph merely smeared on it's surface with a basic brush in a futile attempt to pass it off as a legitimate rendition! Anyone who knows anything about digital art or art in general can see it. The only thing that is a mystery to me is that this person actually believes that his attempt if you can call it that, should be recognized as a piece of art. With people like bengal and john foster roaming around in here and from the perspective of an illustrator, I consider it an insult to every "Talented" artist regularly in these forums that this impostor was even aloud to post.

Best response in this thread, by far.

A lot of you cry on your keyboards too much when you see a newbie follow the forum rules incorrectly. Really, you think dede intentionally insulted artists by posting in this forum? Because the only acts of malice that I see is most of the responses in this thread.

The guy is new and has broken English. Give the guy a break! AND LEARN SOME MANNERS!

Nice work dede

For some members here, as feels said .. LEARN SOME MANNERS ... AND when you have something to say (comment ,opinion, advice ..or anything ) say it nice or simply SHUT UP.

If you are/feel more talented or skilled than others , It doesn't give you the rights to attack them or their work - for if it goes this way .. then Many super-talented artists here may tear you all apart .
