Here's a homage to the Matrix. I did the best I could on the green text, but I don't know all the tricks on photoshop just yet. Any suggestions?

And here's another one that I finished yesterday. I always like to try my hands at different art styles.

You did a good job with neo, but c'mon! That green matrix lettering effect could be done much better.

Thanks for the response guys!:chug: But If any of you have any suggestions on how to make the text more matrix-like, please do so.

The main problem is the text is so large you can tell it's just random english characters. I think if you'll look closely you'll find that the 'matrix code' is actually a combination of numbers, characters from the japanese alphabets Katakana and Hiragana, as well as some english.

Here's a ref:

You can find japanese fonts to download several places, it might help to make it more "matrix" like.
Otherwise, good drawing, and good imitation of the effect.

Quite a contrast in styles between the two pieces. Have a look at the reference matrix 'letters' posted. You'll notice that they probably have a drop shadow with some kinda motion blur applied to them. I'm sure if you go to google and search for tutorials on how to create matrix style letters there will be some.

You've certainly got the Keanu look but I'm wondering what has happened to his right shoulder?

On a personal note - couldn't care less about the Matrix. The films got progressively worse as they went. Good likeness of Keanu though and just keep playing with photoshop, you'll get the hang of it.

Love the cartoon gal image, but I think it would look better with longer legs. Lengthen the legs would add to the whole 'blue eyed, long legged, blonde' image that you have going there.

Not to sure about her huge camel-toe either, it could get quite painful and she would have to remove them panties.

Yeah Sevans, I know what you mean.

I really can't think of much anything I didn't like about the first film, but I sure as heck can think of a lot of crap I didn't like about the other two.

My biggest problem with the sequels is that the Wachowskis just forced the audience to take everything about the world for granted, to the point that it practically became unintended overpretentious self-parody...it's almost like they'd apparently lost sight of their vision, or just plain stopped trying to refine their vision. Also, the worst issue story-wise for me is that there was no one for the audience to mask in, and now Neo who had been a pretty believeable character in the first film, was now a dehumanized god. The villians, especially smith, were infinitely more appealing than the heroes.

Yep DanSTC Neo suffered from the 'superman' syndrome.

When you make a character too powerful, too unbeatable, he becomes boring. Most of the best action heroes are the ones that have to overcome the most (generally physical pain).

Not to put down Moccomouse about the text, but I personally don't care if its doesn't say what it should. Do your own version and in your own words and create an artwork of your own.

If you require an exact copy, take a screensave.
