Hi, I'd just like to know what are the best schools, academies, colleges, or universities. I don't care where they are, preferably in the US though. I just want the best, in any words. Something that'll stand out extremely well on a resume.

Also, does Harvard have an art program?

There is actually a sub-forum relating to art education and universities here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15

Unfortunately I really can't answer your question, but you may find that the content and quality of your portfolio is much more important than where you got your degree.

Q1). what specialty?

the best art instruction isn't taught at universitys (usually)

In the end your portfolio will matter more than the name of school you attended.

Interesting that the follow up to the line of wanting the best is something that will look good on a resume. If wanting the best is because it will impress other people, you won't find that kind of connection, for the most part, in the commercial art industry. A guy who hasn't gone to school at all, may easily do better than a guy who had the "best" school, because the portfolio plays such a huge role in how well you'll do.

Now if you had said you wanted the best because you want to learn as much as possible, with instructors that work in the industry, then you'd be positioning yourself well for a career in art.

Ability plays a bigger role in art than in many other fields, where all they have to go on is a resume, and a school's name may have greater weight.

Well, if the OP wants to design menu layouts and corporate logos, a "reputable" school may be all s/he needs.

Now, that statement is interesting. If best art instruction isn't taught at unis, then is it self-taught? :D

Just curious.

In a sense, yes. Art school can help you develop skills, but if you don't have the motivation and willingness to work hard and learn, the best art school is totally useless for you.
