That monkey is very good! But I think there's something wrong about your hyena. Maybe it's a bit blurry. Keep posting, you have a good talent! :)

here is a study ofone of the biggest master ( according to me) Sargent that i haven't finish, but it's late and i need to go to sleep.

thks for comment, the hyena is a little bit more in a carton style, it's maybe why it was difficult for me to finished it.

new version of the study, to me the render is to smooth, i need to be more instinctive.

I love post #4. You have a good sense of variation in your warm and cool values in the vest, great work! Too bad about the hand though; it looks like his arm ends in a stump. Keep updating!

Very good pencil & line work.

The two previous comments by my esteemed colleagues are a little bit vague to me: I think that the drawings all function well as exploratory sketches; that's where you get to experiment and be as imperfect as you like, as long as you're figuring out what needs figuring out.

As a "working, but professionally submitted" concept, maybe some quick value editing in Pshop could define the Sept 2nd "tusked creature" a bit in terms of volume and readability. If that were the case.

However, the dogs and your married freinds drawing are as dead-on as I could imagine. Same with the child & tree, and lizard. The others just look like things quickly noted, which is all they're trying to be.

And...I'm crazy about that Hyena!

Thanks!

Nick
