Hi all,
So to coincide with the HaloMission competition I'm doing a Halo sculpt.
I've chosen an ODST because I fell in love with some of the concept art, I'm also looking forward to the new game :)
(FYI, I'm not entitled to win prizes in the comp, this is just one for me to keep)
Mood Board-Taking my favourite details from each one, so it'll be a mash up but with any luck you wont even see the join!

Well thats the story so far.
I'll pose the head and hands more later. Also I will add a base in later.
C&C appreciated, I want this one to turn out pro!

Show off ;-)
Looking darn good though, how long have you been making sculptures for coz I notice you've got the process pretty much locked down? e.g. splints on armature to maintain the correct proportions
Also how did you get a full spread view of an ODST troop with a skeleton laid over it?
At this rate though you'll be done by the end of the week, lol

Thanks guys, lovely comments :)
Bongsplat [shakes head, wimpers a little] Yeh the gun, not my fave thing to do, but I'm gonna just be patient (drink tea) and get it done. I always think when toy figures come with guns, how they do that? I'm gonna give a go. If it turns out well, use the tips dude, mmmmmmmm tea!!
Maddmaestro-How do, it's been a while-Yeh go on get in on the action, Halo,CA,Shifletts-what's not to love? Just pm me when you decide :)
Darkwulf- haha-cheers, it's nice to see you think I got the techniques, I've been studying hard this last year, I feel now it's starting to pay off. Hard to say how long exactly I've been doing it, I used to play with modelling clay when I was very little, then didn't touch it for years. Couple years ago played with some sculpey-burnt the hell out of it-left it for ages-then one day decided to quit my job and become a sculptor-somehow. I'll let you know how that works out :)
The ODST spread, I found a turn around ages ago on spawn.com then just photoshoped a skeleton inside it for correct joint layout. Print it out at scale and bingo-armature map.
I wish I was that fast dude, probably wont get on it again till end of the week.
*UPDATE* I've put this to one side whilst on other projects. I will post new progress/recap in my 'all in one' thread :)
