It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a...spatula?

Cute..... And strange :)
Something about the perspective of the head throws me off though..
I like the cloud to cloud zoom :)

Hard to critique the stylised drawing of the character. The head does look slightly odd, but not enough for me to say redraw. The character looks cool, but I personally don't like the colour choice on the background gradient or the spatula (ignore this comment if you like the colours)

There are 2 other things that bug me. 2 of the clouds have very low contrast, but the clouds behind them have stronger 'purple' contrast. This should be the looked at.

I see what you mean about the clouds...I have them on separate layers, foreground/background clouds, that's why they are different. I guess I should make the foreground clouds a bit warmer to help pull them forward a bit. Anything else?

I have finally worked out why the gradient bugs me.
I feel that the tones of the purple and blue are too similar eg: if the image was in greytones the sky would be almost flat. All I think it needs is abit more light to dark (contrast).

Really this image is all about a spatual, or I should, a person flying with a spatula. Hell, maybe the spatula is what gives that person the power to fly, I don't know.
The point is, THE SPATULA gives the image its absurd/fun edge. So why not push the spatula even further? What if you used perspective and foreshortening (sp?) to make the spatula this HUGE glowing thing that's right in our face? It's just that when I see something that's based on being fun in an absurd way, I want to see it pushed to the most absurd it can be.
