- Thunderdome: Sharing Ideas for Round 4 -

_perhaps it is. but it wont hurt if we spit some ideas. the male fighters are done, the female fighters are done, the misc beasts and cia. are done. and now, the Dome itself? would be nice for ppl who whants to improve enviroment thecnics. but since the most of the designers prefer character design, a nice alternative could be a Dome owner, like a someone in charge of the thunderdome, and behind him, his room with the Dome view. blah

I thought the admins would open a thread like this in the td-section...but til then we can gather some ideas...

I don't like the environment idea, because i suck in making them :D

But how about "The alien race which entered thunderdome from another galaxy"...To make an alien, which is far away from the organical beings on earth, but still working fine and able to destroy every td-warrior, -berzerker or -creature, which entered the dome yet...:evilbat:

What about something which isn't a character? Like...make up a really fast and awesome vehicle which works on land, in water, over water, in the air...you name it. The Ultimate Vehicle...not sure if that could be something, but it would be different from the other thunderdome challenges, and that may be a positive thing. :)

hmm, you must never make a challange based on your personal preferences, specially when there are more then 20 ppl joining the very same challenge.
-think about the whole, and the whole (my guess) indeed doesnt like enviroment as much as character design.

but character and creature are already done over and over:
-so there are some solutions, like Pontemonti said, vehicle design (all themed pos-apocaliptical), there is also the dreaded enviroment design, and my special favourite, the happy group.

here's my tips then:

-)all around vehicle design as Pontemonti said. versatile in any terrain (and could also fly ?! ). remember ancient rome, where the colloseum could hold charriots, cars and even battleships! but now the nation is doomed by radiation, and yet they find amusing this kind of games.

-)the dome itself. a full view of it, with all its glory

-)a group of creatures and characters, like a elite guard, a small army or a special team. no number limit, but i guess ppl will understand what small means. must be thunderdome themed also

how about the actually enviroment? In referance to the Mad Max thunderdome, it was a steel sphere cage, what other possible battlegrounds could the epic post-apocalypse battle be held in?

remember back in highschool art class,, when it was time to start working with clay and all of the dingleberrys would be in the back of the room making strange "bong like" pottery..
and they always acted all shusshy secretive with an air of cleverness about them,, as if they were the first ones to have ever thought of making a Bong in art class.

our art teacher was wise though.. hed confiscate the bongs. i think he had a collection in the storage room. maby him and all of the janitors would hang out after school and get ripped with the aid of this strange pottery. or maby he was planning on opening a head shop.. who knows?

do art students still make bongs when they get to collage?

haha, oh i remember when someone made one and our art teacher found it. He philosophised about making bong's in a begginers clay class. Then he cracked a lot of jokes and broke it to demonstrate how poorly made it was. He said that if we were going to be making them at least make them look interesting and durable dammit! hehe he was a cool teacher
