This is a pencil drawing I'm working on for a lingerie party flyer. I'm gonna try to keep it simple and maybe put some simple shading b/w in photophop once I ink it. I messed up the right girl's likeness.....but any comments & crit before I ink it tomorrow when I get up 2-3 pm Pacific time would be coooooooooooooooooooooooool .

the girl on the right looks really pretty, have no problems with it. The underwear is a bit to funky for my liking its gotta be lacy stuff.

5-0 -- Im gonna try and do something lacy with the right girl's lingerie. from what I've seen the patterns are really sublte and might be best achieved through subtle value and not lines. So here's the linework, I'm gonna put in some b/w shading asap!

Ok here it is with some simple shading, I still need to work on it some more, the right girl's lingerie lacy pattern is hard for me to pull off. If I had a wacom this would be much easier. whenever I do a pattern it looks hella sloppy. whatever I'm gonna try again but any comments and crit and this point would be welcome

thanks 5-0! I used photoshop to shade it. I used a small brush size to draw an area of shade or highlight, then selected the empty area with magic wand, and filled it with the shade/highlight. It'd be nice to color it but this is gonna be printed out as a flyer for a party so it's only supposed to be b&w. I passed this pic off to my friend to do design on it and add text, I'll post it as soon as it's done!

So far I think it looks pretty good.

Just some quick questions though. Is the flyer going to be printed in Black & White or colour?

Is it going to be printed on colour card?

Could you use warm tones instead of the cold 'slightly dead' looking grey tones?

Is there going to be text placed on top of the image? and where?

I'll have alot more critique if I know what your overall goal is.

SEVANS- I think its gonna be printed on pink paper in b&w (not sure what kind of paper), the text is gonna read (um some dude's name I forget) presents naughty but nice lingerie party. sponsered by fredrick's of hollywood, rockstar, and 24 hour fitness

Black and White on pink coloured paper. You may have to lose some of the gray tones or simplify them.

I have printed on lots of coloured paper, and many times the grey tones end up looking very dull and/or muddy. I guess you'll just have to do a proof print.

Great clear image though

OK so here is my buddy contribution. SEVANS, you were hella right about the print quality, I'm gonna try upping the contrast and maybe that will fix it? whatever I don't really care as long as I get my 50 bucks. peace!

Dun- thanks man!

the guy who's throwing the party thinks that it might be alittle too risque for a flyer, he's going to use it for the vip pass instead. so I guess my buddy will change the text or something, anyways here it is with a pink tint just for fun!

ps- what happens when you prink pink ink on pink paper? science has the answer!!!

I like the text and layout. I think your friend should have used this for the flyer, I don't see anything to risque about it.

Nice work

I second that. I think it's cute and fun and would make a great flyer.

yeah I don't really see anything wrong with it either. He's going to use a fyler that's more informative and not illustrative I think. I really don't care that much because when I do a design for someone whether they use it or not I usually get a good drawing out of it that my lazy ass wouldn't have done without the motivation. anyways thanks for the support guys! I'm already in the process of making a T-shirt design. Right now all I have is some crappy sketches, I'll post when I have something significant.

i like it, great progression, but I just wanted to say that the girl on the right looks ... frightened ... or repulsed or something ... gives it a creepy feel.

good work, but I think for overall mood, you might want to change that ...
