I hope I've got this in the right forum. Brand new to this place and all that.
I got the CS3 Design Premium Suite when I started at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh last year, and now I need to get Premier Pro for an upcoming class. The problem is the release of CS4. I don't want to drop a load of money to upgrade everything to CS4 on top of having to get the new program, but I don't know if I'll be having major compatibility issues. Any advice?

Not to be lecturing, well okay i am, but is this really the best place to ask this?
But moaning and groaning out of the way. You can buy a single program from Adobe I think. Just do the research.

I wasn't sure if this was the best place to ask this, but all my research has turned up is stuff from pre-CS4 release and this was all I could think of.
Thank you though.

Not to change subjects, but does CS4 have any worthwhile changes for the photoshop 2d painter? New brush functions, better lens flares, etc?

It has live rotation of the canvas like Painter, I think that is something a lot of digital artists have been waiting for.

For artists its the best upgrade going since custom brushes and tablet support was included. You can rotate the canvas much easier than in Painter, well easier meaning no crappy clippings and shit.
