Shrink yourself and use teeny tiny little pencils?
Seriously, it's a mater off planning. You know how to do that? Put a mark on your paper where the top of your subject is going to start, and put a mark at the bottom where it should end. Even at that, make sure the marks are further from the edge of the sheet than you actually want them. Then do rough thumbnails of your subject so you can see where "this" point falls and "that" point falls between highest and lowest points of your subject. These are the proportionate positions that you have to adhere to when you do your final drawing.
For example...standing female nude: head at top mark, feet at bottom mark. Thumbnails tell you belly button falls "there," nipples fall "there,' etc., in relation to the two limiting marks you're using (1/3 way down, 1/4 way down, 1/2 way down. etc.). Bingo! Little people instead of big people
EDIT: Oops...crossed with the imaginary cat and his psychotic buddy.

Are you starting at some point like the head or toes and working from there? That could be your problem if your are. I would suggest marking off where you want the top of the head on the page and where you want the feet on the page. Then mark of the halfway point between your first two marks and figure out what part of your figure should be located at that point. From there just work light and block in the rough shapes until they're in the right spot.
Hopefully that helps a little. Happy drawing. :)
