Ballpoint is my favorite sketching tool...but I am going to post other things, including non-sketch items: motion graphics, graphic design and 3D, since my personal work never stays to one media.

the color choices were influenced by the "Painting an Oil Portrait" in this book: http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Painter-Techniques-Don-Seegmiller/dp/0470284935 (http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Painter-Techniques-Don-Seegmiller/dp/0470284935). Who knew that all the problems with painter can be solved by clicking the Pickup Underlying Color on layers.

awwww ... more pandas, more ballpoints. :teeth:
Don't hold back on us [me] for more inspiring pieces.
Is that the full panda? or has it been cropped?
Good stuff.

Beautiful work! - I especially love the ballpoint animal renderings, the figure studies and the original beasties. I would still like very much to collaborate with you some day on a fable with an array of the other-worldly creatures you are so adept at creating.... maybe one day I can entice you if the project is small and manageable. You deserve some new exposure.

Really strong shapes in here... Be careful with the smudge/ pastel look, sometimes your pics look kinda blurry, and that weakens the shape and makes it less vibrant.

Anyway, really nice work! Keep it up man, it's gonna be something great!

Thank Abrodos, that's a great point about the bluryness, I am working on adjusting my style to non-organic shapes, buts it's kind of hard to see whether areas are clear or not after you've been at it for a few hours.
