Hey everyone this is my first post on this site so be nice please:) I decided to come to this site after seeing the large amount of critiques and help other members gave each other which i feel is lacking sometimes on other sites such as deviant:) At thisp point I feel that what i really need is your thoughts and critique on my drawings so im going to upload some drawings from my sketchbook thanks:) (btw I'm 16 years old). more drawings to come soon:)

Hey dude, welcome to the site!! :yayca:

The first advice you're going to get from a lot of people around here are

1: draw as much as you can! Practice makes perfect!
2: Draw from reference, whether it be from life or from photo.


If you keep those in mind, you will be top dog in no time, as so many on this site have already done!

Hi, nice start. You have potential. But..draw the heads!!:P Sublimus came with a nice tip. Just draw a lot from reference and then you can apply what you've learned in your imagination stuff. I like the last one too (colours) but watch the proportions. especially his left arm looks too long

i agree about the heads, but they were just really quick sketches and i didnt really have time haha:) anyway heres some more drawings of mine i've found one in pencil , one in pen and the other 2 using the colors! program for the nintendo ds:)... and i try to pretty much always draw from referrence, i tend to lack imagination when it comes to drawing...:) ( these drawings are a bit older)

Hi, I am pretty new here but I think that you are lack of confidence drawing your lines and you need a lot to practice on shadows. Go to posemaniacs.com and practice the 30 second pose drawings. Draw a lot from life and exercise everyday. That is what I have learned from others here :)
