Main Gallery Thumbnail HELP

Hi, I was wanting to change my main gallery thumbnail from a painting of the Joker to the Newborn entry I did. I made it the right size and clicked UPLOAD and i got to the page where you have to drag that box to the size and plancement desired. I get it just right, then i click GEN. NEW THUMB above, and the page just resets. I still have the Joker thumbnail, not the Newborn one. I tried to place the box then go back to the main gallery editor, but that didnt help either. Please help me figure out whats wrong.

The gallery feature has been having some problems for awhile now. It is being redone, so thanks for being patient. :)
