Ive googled this, but I haven't been able to find any substantial information, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here.

I have noticed recently that when I upload an image onto CA the image appears slightly lighter than the photoshop version. Ive been ignoring it for a while because I thought it was an optical illusion because of the change of the background. I compared my photoshop window to the uploaded image and I noticed a significant difference.
The file viewed in photoshop is also exactly the same as the one uploaded so Im a bit baffled about this problem.

Thanks,

Rich

I have no idea if there is anything to do about this. It just might be that the color profile you have set in photoshop shows things differently than other programs would.

If you're using firefox 3.5, then that might be the issue. 3.5 has its color management automatically enabled. You could google ways to disable it.

Check to see if the colors look different in other browsers, or if they look different when you upload them to imageshack or deviantart

Hmm, does this mean that if I view the image from another machine it'll be fine, or is firefox linked to the actual uploading process if you know what I mean?
