READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE CONTACTING ME!!! - THANK YOU

Hi everyone,

I am seeking a professional sequential artist, preferably someone who can also color his/her own work, for a 5 page comic book submission. This is a commissioned job, based on total sales. This project will be a resubmission to Image Comics. Obviously, there is NO GUARANTEE that Image will accept the submission and publish the project. However, if they do reject it, I'll attempt to secure a deal with another publisher and negotiate a page rate based on your pay scale requirements if a publisher is interested in the project. But Image is where I see this.

ARTIST SHARE OF MONIES EARNED
Artist - If Color is Included in Art = 80% of monies made by Creative Team w/ 20% to writer.
Artist - If Color is Not Included = 50% of monies made by Creative Team w/ 30% to colorist and 20% to writer.

As the writer, it's not about the money to me at this point. It's about putting out a great product and building a comic resume.

BASIC STORY SYNOPSIS
In an alternate reality Los Angeles where money has been done away with and the estimated human life expectancy is now used as currency. When someone spends all of their “life span” they are taken to a discontinuation facility and terminated. People no longer trade dollars for necessities and wants, instead they trade years, months, days, hours and minutes of human life for things money once bought. People no longer work for money, but instead to live.

I will use these 5 pages in an attempt to secure a publishing deal for a 5 issue mini-series or trade paperback. If you are selected as co-creator you must be available to complete the remainder of the project, for a total of 110 pages. If you are unable to make such a commitment, please DO NOT contact me.

When contacting you MUST include the following information:

Links to sample of sequential pages you have done. If you don’t have sequential samples, do not contact me.
Can you follow the script? If the script reads “Character A is wearing a beanie.” The illustration better show Character A wearing a beanie.
Do you meet deadlines? If you say you can complete the 5 pages in two weeks, complete the pages in two weeks. If you’re the type that is always late, don’t contact me.
If you're too busy with other projects, please don't contact me.

Additionally if you’re hired I want you to be passionate about the comic book medium and this project. You must be willing to agree to a contract stating that you will be able to complete the remaining 105 pages within a specific time frame if the comic submission is accepted and agreed to be published by Image.

Let me thank you in advance for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you.
