1300 years since Rome never fell...

This new short film, NOVA ROMA, takes place in an alternate history where Ancient Rome never fell, but instead went on to conquer the entire planet, venture into space, and greatly surpass our current society's technology. Since the ancient days, their style of dress, battle uniforms, etc. have shifted and evolved, but still retain the spirit and inspiration of their old styles.

For our film, we need to show various great historical moments that this alternate Rome experienced through the 1300 years of new history. Through painting, drawing, Photoshop, or any other means, we want these great moments shown. The drawings we select will be framed and featured in the film, and may also find their way to the movie's website, with your permission.

I hope this concept inspires you to create epic scenes of glory as it has inspired us to make the world come alive.

Some suggestions of moments to represent:
* Romans discovering the New World
* Romans conquering China
* Romans reaching the bottom of the ocean
* A Roman city on Antarctica
* Romans landing on the Moon
* Romans landing on Mars
* An enormous Roman space station

Feel free to come up with your own idea of a moment to represent, and maybe e-mail us if you want to make sure there's no reason your idea wouldn't fit into the film.

Although selections will continue for several months, you are hardily encouraged to submit before Friday, July 31 for very special consideration--in fact, anything decently good before the 31st will almost certainly make it into the film.

Visit www.NovaRomaMovie.com for updates throughout the summer.

E-mail contact@NovaRomaMovie.com for questions or submissions.

Thanks, everyone, and hope to see some epic material!

This is basically what the soldiers look like in our world, so if your scene features them, they should look basically like this.
