Maybe I'm by myself in this, but does this movie already look really stupid to anyone else? Off of all the production shots alone this movie looks bad. Maybe it will actually be great or something, but I have a hard time believing it at this point. Here is a pic of the costume. It looks like the leather pants were chaffing and so she kept itching and scratching, forgeting that she had cat claws on.

When I first saw the picture of Halle Berry as Catwoman... I actually laughed. The costume looks... so so bad. I would not want to be the designer on that film...

The picture went down on their site for some reason, that's why it isn't showing up. Anyway, yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is the worst designed suit ever. Seriously, Batman Returns had such a better design and it was even years ago. I heard that they had tons of bad replies to this suit but by then it was too late, they had already shot too much to go back and change it. Just a rumor I heard and seeing the suit I can easily believe it. Here's another one.

Worse than the costume (which is so bad I actually want to sand off my corneas using a rusty file) is the fact that Halle Berry has been cast as Catwoman. I guess all you have to do these days is get your titties out in an action movie to be considered a "talented" actress. Seriosuly, Halle Berry as Catwoman? wtf were they thinking?! its going to be almost as bad as Halle in that Bond film (I forget the name, because it was so vomit inducing it didnt warrant taking up valuable brain-space to remember).

Actually Halle Berry is a good actress with talent (her acting in Monsters Ball was good, though a bit overrated - oscar?). Problem is that the James Bond Script was a piece of shit and the whole movie sucked so much. I guess it will be the same here - dunno why she took that role.

and btw. its not only about good acting in these movies, but about looks... so what. i think this movie will be shitty, just like "birds of prey" - they really try to ruin any batman-related franchise. Why is Smallville based on superman (i hated him) so much better than Birds Of Prey (based on mr bruce wayne)? Worlds unfair....

Christopher Nolan gives me hope for the future though. Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and Michael Caine as Alfred? It can't go wrong, right?

yeah, I saw her costume a few months ago and like many of you here, had to laugh...she looks like a hooker in that getup. I also liked Michelle Pfeiffer's costume much better(and I also loved the way she portrayed Selina Kyle). Plus, Halle Berry's Catwoman isn't even going to be Selina Kyle...according to the movie, there are nine Catwomen, and Halle Berry's Catwoman is the fifth one. I hear WB is close to pulling the plug on the movie, due most people hating it on the Internet.:)

...Personally, I like the current Catwoman costume that's in the comics right now. It's kinda nifty.

Yeah, Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Michael Caine... what a cast and crew. I just hope Goyer - who does the screenplay as imdb says - does a better job than on Blade II.
Bob Kane is about to do the characters - as always. Though he works on Catwoman and Birds Of Prey as well...

Im a huge fan of the "old" movies by Tim Burton.His work rocks - i overlook Planet Of The Apes when saying this. Hope Mr. Memento Nolan can reanimate this (imho) dead franchise.

when i first saw a picture of it, it was said that she was catwoman in the new batman movie....i almost cried...
it was with great relief i found out she had her own movie...

i think the new batman movie should be pretty good, i like christian bale, i think he will do a good job with this.

Can someone tell me what the heck those diagonal belts are for? And how do you fight crime in a leather bikini top? I just don't get it. Every other recent comic film has done a good job of improving on the costumes and making them more realistic for live action. Here is an example of the opposite. The recent comics already had a great costume ready for film and they go and make the goofiest, 80's- biker-bar-hooker, getup that is far from anything realistic. And what about the open-toed shoes?

You guys don't get it. Superhero movies are really popular! Cinematic instant classics like The Hulk and Daredevil have PROVEN that fact! It's not just a bandwagon. You should all be spending all of you money on Superhero movies and merchandising because it's the cool thing to do! people who say it's a fad are just jealous because they're not cool like me.

The new ish of Entertainment Weekly has four new shots of this abomination (cover, two contents pages, and an interior spread). So much for the rumors that the universally negative comments on the costume lead to them playing it down. The funniest thing is that the "slashes" in the pants are actually filled with skin toned fabric, so in the rear view shot it looks like Halle has a saggy ass!
