this was a bit of practice in painter but based on an idea i had the other night. i'm going to start on that idea again because this one is just really stagnant and i dont like the poses.
any outside feedback would be greatly appreciated.

nice colours - i hardly ever get atmosphere like that from scratch.

thanks for the views and the reply catterpillar, i did a small update. just stopped the rain and added another soldier. changed the composition a bit too.
I know this should go in the WIP section but its still just a sketch, if it needs moved then thats cool.

Sweet! i was playing some music from the movie "gladiator" while watching to your drawing. It gives a cool feeling

thanks for the replies, each time i look at this i think that it really lacks movement, it just looks like 4 guys in a trench.
i'm not sure where you see the movement swift, maybe the image isn't clear, i am trying to get away from the blurry brush strokes, maybe those suggest movement.
anyway thanks again for the feedback, much appreciated.
I'll post any updates if i come back to it tomorrow.
