The eyes seemed closed but when you take a longer look they seem open... weird! Have not seen something like that until yet. Great!

Beautiful portrait...I love the emotional depth you captured.
I wish there was a bit more detail in some parts though..

ANd you look like stephen king ... THAT's creepy =)
thanxs people for the comments. She was almost sleeping during the pose, thats why the "depressed mood"
And I posted it here because it is finished for me, i dont really think it needed more, i wanted to keep some of my initial strokes to keep the "life" and i wanted some sort of simplicity, the only thing i did to have a more finished look was playing with some grain.
@zak : its standard basic round tinting brush in painter, blend with a low pressure and apply paint with higher pressure.

I like the mood. How did you get those subtle textures?

I used the "express texture" function in painter7
i tweaked it for a while until i got something i wanted
but this function only works if your pic is black and white, for a color pic i dont know yet how i would achieve this kind of texture, i dont really like the "apply texture" function, but with a lot of tweaking and some custom paper it might be possible to achieve something good.
