Hello! This is for the Newborn Contest. I am messing with the theme of the Phoenix and new life being born from the ashes of the dead. The final piece will involve a burning city in the background with the two main characters, the 'Phoenix' and an Android child in the foreground. The Phoenix will be reconstructing the android's heart out of flame, giving her new life as the world around them burns to start anew. (My apologies, I originally posted Hot-links and then figured out the attachments for the forum. Below are the attachments to all the previously hot-linked images!)

finally figured out the attachment app cause i thought we were not allowed to attach in this forum, but were only allowed to hot link. i'm still figuring this site out. so im deleting the hot links from before and adding attachments instead.
The painting processes have been done in Photoshop CS3. The 'Phoenix' will have some cripsy looking wings, burnt and ashy. he'll be rebuilding the little girl android's heart out of flame.

been having a hell of a time with my photoshop. it got all messed up with the hisotry and cache settings just this wed. when i save my jpegs the colors are horrible off and the darks are wayyyy too saturated! but, when uploaded onto the web, they look fine so i'm not sure what to do about it because im afraid my submission colors will be off and once they're uploaded on here it'll look terrible.

my photoshop screwed up this week, i started my new job this past weekend and had to work tonight. wish i had the extra 10+ hours that i could've had to make this even better. oh well... tried my best. i can only hope for the best and that the jpeg quality is good enough though it doesnt do the PSD file any justice.
and...it's still blurry and pixilated on here. what a bummer. maybe ill post on DA for others to see a higher res version.
