So I can't come up with a clever title yet. Eventually.
After encouragement from a couple responses to my post, I'm putting up a little of my stuff. It's really a mixture of things, hand-drawn, computer generated, design oriented, etc. These are all I have accessible at the moment but I hope to have more soon. I suppose my biggest issue is, probably like most people, lack of self-esteem. I'm discouraged with my school experience so far so it makes it hard to want to sit down and do art on my own. But with various projects waiting for art reference, I really need to buckle down and get back to it.

And one more that I just found last minute.

Great start! I think what would really help is to push your values more. It's always good to be able to define form with rendering rather than lines. Would be great to keep studying values and color. Here's a good link that goes over digital painting with color.

Oooh, thank you so much! I know that values are something I need to work on. I've always been the type to keep things a bit too light as I always feel that I can darken easier than lighten if I don't like it. I just tend to never quite get it dark enough. And the link will be a great help, I think. I've really wanted to get a better handle on painting with PS.
Thank you, thank you!

Another one I managed to dig up on my other computer.

Are these assignments or personal stuff?
Your figure work looks like its relying on the photograph to much. Have you done many anatomical studies? or tried a construction method of drawing the figure, like Bridgman for example?
Have any perspective studies or images?
Just tryign to get a good gadge of where you are at :)
What tools do you have? A tablet or mouse?
Simple shading exercises like shading a sphere and a box to help with representing form would be good to do.

I do have some other stuff but it's just not on my hard drive yet. It's all physical, hard copy stuff and I haven't had access to a way to get it on the computer. Hopefully in my days off the beginning of next week, I can get it online. These are, indeed, assignment pieces and I have a Wacom tablet. I can't draw with a mouse to save my life. I feel like I'm drawing with a brick! :p
I, by no means, feel I'm any sort of professional where I'm at. I do love doing figure studies but my subjects are limited at the moment to a 6 year old and a 9 year old. Gesture exercises are perfect with their squirmy little butts though, let me tell you! Practice, practice, practice is what I need though! I do appreciate the suggestions!
