Ok so before you ead this check out:

Isues with Painter XI install (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=163391)

And

Imitating copic markers in Painter XI (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=163262)

The reason I am making this thread is because of the first link, Corel painter no longer wants to work on my system. I have PSE cs4 and wanted to know if there is a way to imitate copic markers, both in color and in brush/stoke ways.

now i have a few other questions along the same lines, in Corel it was easier to set up pressure sensitivity but i dont know how to do it in PSE and also since PSE is more for photo development its not easy to find brushes unless your looking for say "stamp" type brushes such as those on Deviant art like the fractal or the hair or the eye brushes.

if you could point me in the right direction that would be most appreciated.

Only bad thing with these is that they're not rectangular like a real Copic, otherwise I think they're great.

Also, unlike Painter/Sketchbook/ArtRage who won't allow you to paint lighter colors over darker ones (realistic, but stupid... you want to use the advantages of a computer after all), well, this one does.

The capability to replicate the behavior of Copic markers also depends on your tablet.

Does your tablet have tilt/rotation sensitivity?

Also, the deviantart link is nice but doesn't take into consideration the 'feel' of using chisel-tip markers- as in, it's basically a 3-in-one tip.

I'd just set up 3 different brushes, and quickly switch between them using the < and > keys- provided that they're side-by-side in the brush list.
