Can only create new brushes only in B&W

I am a rookie and just learning my way through photo shop (I am using CS2 on a PC) and learning the wide array of options.

I am just learning how to create my own brushes which is exciting me. But It only saves them in B&W.

Am I missing a a option to click or a step to do to save them as they are originally?

Any help is greatly appreciated

The brushes are only black in white. They're just...dabs that are going to be various levels of "Black/White/Grey" you can't really save them in color. You change the color you want to paint with in the color tool in PS.

That's like asking for a regular paintbrush to be loaded up with a certain type of blue. You want a paintbrush with certain bristle characteristics, not color. Color is independent of the brush shape.
